Description: Video Games are Art. And sometimes Art restricts itself to craft a better experience. This is how difficulty is used in Dark Souls, Monster Hunter World, and very likely the upcoming Elden Ring. Hidetaka Miyazaki doesn't have 1 difficulty setting in all of his games for no reason. Game Difficulty is a game design tool used to craft the intended experience that they have envisioned. Which in our opinion he does masterfully in Dark Souls, Darks Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Demon Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. And we have full confidence he will use it just as well in Elden Ring. And so far the Elden Ring Network test has all but confirmed this. Capcom's various directors have similarly mastered the use of single difficulties in the entire Monster Hunter Series, including the more recent Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter World Iceborne, and Monster Hunter Rise.
